Next Generation Mentoring: Learn How You Can Get Involved!
As many of you may know, one of our real estate agents, Clint Ladouceur has been a member of Rotary for 5 years and has held the position of Chapter President in 2015. Presently, he holds the position of Assistant District Governor for the State of Missouri, District 6080. Clint continues to play an integral role in providing philanthropic services to our community. His dedication and hard work has earned him the award of 2016 Rotarian of the Year.
ABOUT INTERACT
One of these services that he's helped to implement and grow in the Lake area is the inception of a new Interact Group at the School of the Osage that started in 2016. Suffice it to say they are doing great things. Last fall they raised over $1,200 for the Central Missouri Honor Flight at the “Race for Honor 5K” fundraiser they held. The Interact Club has grown nearly twofold in membership and remains strong in its mission, on-going service projects service and core values.
Since the inception, it has been Rotary’s intent to develop a mentoring program that would enhance the overall personal development of all Interactors. That time is now! Rotary has come up with the concept of “Next Generation Mentoring”. School of the Osage not only embraced this concept but has also expanded its reach to all Freshman in this Pilot Program. First and foremost, local Rotarians will play an integral role as mentors. In addition, Rotary will also play an essential role in an outreach effort to the community to help augment the need for additional mentors. In all, well over 150 students will benefit from this program.
