Team Andy Gibson Spotlight - Getting to Know Laura
Part of selecting a real estate agent at the Lake of the Ozarks to represent you when selling or buying a home is getting to know the agent you'll be working with. Team Andy Gibson wants to make sure you feel comfortable with our agents. So, to help you feel at ease and confident in our agents, we're sharing with you a little bit about our agents so you can get to know them better. This week, our spotlight agent is Laura Hatfield!
Family Life
Laura is the newest member of our team and we couldn’t be more excited to have her! Laura is originally from the state of California. She was raised in Northern CA, where she received a degree in Theater from San Diego State University, with a major in Musical Theater. Laura moved from Los Angeles to Branson in 1993 and performed there for many years as a singer/dancer/actress in Mississippi Love, Smoke on the Mountain, and other various variety shows. The most famous venue she performed in was the saloon show at Silver Dollar City. Yes, she was a saloon girl! Growing up, her passions were dancing and singing, which she got to live out during her time in Branson! Nowadays, her singing career is mostly spent in church where she sings on the worship team and plays guitar and keyboard.
Laura and her family moved to Lake of the Ozarks when her husband was offered a job back in 2014. Laura has 4 children, including two older step children who have blessed her with 3 grandchildren. She also has 2 miniature schnauzers and the best cat EVER! Her youngest will graduate in 2019 and is all about the band. Her and her husband are in the band booster for School of the Osage, and couldn’t love it any more. She has also recently joined the Greater Lakes Area Chorale and enjoys it very much! Laura loves to travel. She's been to 38 states and about a dozen different countries. She's also been skydiving twice! So, nerves don't get the best of her!
Joining Team Andy Gibson
Through word of mouth from a friend sharing her experience with Keller Williams Realty, and the empty nest syndrome looming around the corner, Laura decided it would be a good time to dive into the career that has always intrigued her! That was the best decision Laura could’ve made. She has found that she absolutely LOVES real estate and enjoys how humbling yet fun it is to help people with one of their biggest decisions of their lives.
The timing was right to join a team, and Laura has always admired Andy Gibson and his sincere desire to help others and treat them fairly. She was drawn to the integrity of the team. So much so, in fact, that she superimposed her face on their team photo just to be sure she'd be a good fit, said it was a good look, and was sold from there. It could’ve gone either way, but thankfully, Andy agreed. Her priorities: God, Family, Work… in that order, lines up with KW, which was the final selling point for Laura. The rest is history!
